Flamengo donates hand sanitizer and food baskets in Vila Aliança
The club makes its first delivery of the licensed product to the West Zone community and continues the "SOS Favela" campaign

Continuing the campaign "SOS Favela/Viva Rio and Nação Solidária: Flamengo champion on and off the field," Clube de Regatas do Flamengo made another donation this Friday (17), this time in Vila Aliança, a community in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to the basic food baskets, there was also distribution of alcohol gel licensed by the Club, produced in partnership with LBBio (Brazilian Biology Laboratory). It was the first delivery after the signing of the agreement.

The event took place at the NGO "Craques da Vida" and was attended by Camila Nascimento, Social Responsibility Manager. It's worth noting that the campaign was supported by family members of managers and players, as well as Mengão Embassies and Consulates.
"Hand sanitizer is a great ally in hygiene habits and reinforces COVID-19 prevention. Here in the favelas, many families need basic necessities, and we are fully mobilized to support those most in need. The campaign is still going strong; we're already reaching almost 100 favelas in Rio with food, hygiene products, and hand sanitizer. Right now, the health of others is everyone's health," said Camila.
The "SOS Favela" campaign is based on collecting food and personal hygiene items for residents of communities experiencing hardship during this pandemic. Products are always purchased at local markets to support businesses in the benefited areas. Viva Rio, a partner in the campaign, is an institution dedicated to social projects. The Pérolas Negras soccer academy is one of these and, in addition to being involved in the campaign, supports the NGO "Craques da Vida."
During the quarantine, all FLATV live streams are aligned with "SOS Favela." Several artists have already participated. The first was Dennis DJ. Today, at 19 p.m., it's rapper PK's turn. Donations can be made during the performances.
