This Tuesday (02), in another social action, Flamengo was present at the Conjunto de Favelas da Maré, located in the North Zone of Rio, to participate in the donation of a ton of food from Kodilar, the club's official sponsor. The delivery of the supplies was made to the social project “Maré de Sabores”, which works with professional qualification workshops in the area of gastronomy, aimed at the female audience of the region.

From professional training workshops in gastronomy, the women of Maré prepare meals that are distributed to people in socially vulnerable situations in the community.

With the Covid-19 pandemic, the project is offering these meals to residents who have the disease, so they can remain in isolation, thus preventing the virus from spreading throughout the community.

Once again, Flamengo's Social Responsibility department participated in the delivery of 1,000 tons of food. This was another initiative that combined social inclusion through income generation and professional development. This time, the main focus was on women's empowerment, a crucial factor in the region's social development.
