Continuing the campaign “SOS Favela/Viva Rio" and "Nação Solidária, Flamengo champion on and off the field", Flamengo made, this Tuesday (28), donations in the communities of Nova Brasília and Vila Cruzeiro, which are located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The club distributed basic food baskets and alcohol gel, licensed by Mais Querido in partnership with LBBio (Brazilian Biology Laboratory).

The action took place in Nova Brasília and was supported by the Alemão Crisis Cabinet, which brings together three local NGOs: Coletivo Papo Reto, Voz das Comunidades, and Mulheres em Ação. In total, 550 units of hand sanitizer were distributed to residents in the region.

"During this pandemic, we are mobilizing donations to help families facing hardship. Today, we had an important partnership with Flamengo, which donated hand sanitizer to residents in some areas of Alemão. It was another important and inspiring gesture that should be replicated. I thank the club for its partnership during this difficult time for Brazil and the world," said Raul Santiago, a member of the Crisis Cabinet.

In the second event, the Rubro-Negro went to Vila Cruzeiro and also delivered hand sanitizer and food baskets as part of the "SOS Favela/Viva Rio" initiative. Both donations made throughout the day were attended by Camila Nascimento, the club's Social Responsibility Manager.
