Flamengo has partnered with Recoma, a company specializing in sports infrastructure, to renovate the Togo Soares Gymnasium, located at the club's headquarters in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro. The gymnasium hosts training sessions for Flamengo's youth volleyball teams.

The partnership includes brand exposure on the court during FlaBasquete games in the 23/24 NBB season, including the playoffs and, if the team advances, the finals; a court sign or banner at the Togo Soares Gymnasium, with visibility during training and competitions held there; permission to use Flamengo's official Olympic sports flooring supplier seal; posts on social media and other benefits.

In this new project, we will use a top-of-the-line material capable of ensuring perfect impact absorption for the health and longevity of athletes, without altering the ball's bounce. Furthermore, we will see a very important return in terms of brand visibility," says Sergio Schildt, president of Recoma.

Recoma has also been responsible for the tatami mats and floating base for the red-and-black judo team, as well as the basketball, volleyball, and handball courts, an artificial turf field, gym flooring, and a boat garage. The company also supplies equipment for artistic gymnastics and swimming pools.

For the renovation of Togo Soares, the company will use the material 'Recomaflex Premium', a type of national fixed sports flooring with a total thickness of 65mm, ideal for multi-sports courts in gyms that are covered and closed on the sides.

According to Recoma, it is a floor capable of absorbing the impact caused by possible falls by athletes, but also of returning part of the energy of their footsteps in the form of propulsion for jumps and sprints, improving not only the game's performance, but also providing comfort and reducing the incidence of injuries, which contributes to a greater longevity of the athletes' joints and ligaments.

Tested and internationally accredited by the French laboratory Labosport, according to the German standard DIN 18.032 Part 2, which serves as a parameter for certification by the main International Sports Federations, such as FIFA Futsal, FIBA, FIVB and IHF, this is the official flooring of the Brazilian University Sports Confederation (CBDU) and also of the Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB). 

This same material has already been installed by the company in other clubs and other locations, such as the Northeast Olympic Training Center, the Guilherme Paraense Multipurpose Arena and the Brazilian Paralympic Center.
