The country's largest MVNO operator will deliver Brazil's largest mobile network to the world's largest fan base. Surf Telecom and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have partnered to launch the first virtual operator for Flamengo fans nationwide, utilizing TIM's network. With competitive plans, Flamengo fans can connect with their favorite team even when communicating, including free and unlimited use of apps, especially FlaTV+, and browsing on the recently launched 5G technology in cities where the new network is already available.

Additionally, the new operator will offer internet plans (without cuts) and unlimited local and long-distance calls to landlines and cell phones from any carrier. Fans who are part of Flamengo's fan membership program, Nação, will enjoy exclusive benefits. "Flamengo has passionate fans all over Brazil, and that's why Flamengo fans anywhere in the country will be able to purchase a SIM card and have customized plans tailored to their needs, benefiting from all platforms. The news was announced this Friday, the 5th, in Rio de Janeiro. "Anyone who's a Flamengo fan is a Flamengo fan until the end!" says Yon Moreira, CEO of Surf Telecom.

"This partnership brings our fans the best telecommunications technology available in Brazil. We are very proud to bring this new service to the Red-Black Nation," says Rodolfo Landim, president of Flamengo.

The new agreement also strengthens the connection between the club and TIM. The operator has a long-standing relationship with Flamengo and has sponsored the team for over 10 years. Now, it's enabling the creation of an exclusive service for the red-and-blacks. "We have the largest mobile network in Brazil and are leading the rollout of 5G in the country. Our innovation and investment in infrastructure will be available to fans through Surf Telecom, and we're certain they'll have an excellent experience," says TIM CEO Alberto Griselli.

TIM is the largest provider of access networks and infrastructure for MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) in Brazil, operating nationwide since 2011. The company believes in the potential of this business model, which reinforces the company's innovative and pioneering nature. Data from March 2021 estimates that 67% of companies operating in the MVNO market use TIM's network to provide services. This corresponds to 87,6% of all mobile virtual network operator customers in Brazil.

For Yon Moreira, CEO of Surf Telecom, working alongside major brands like Flamengo is both an honor and a great responsibility. "We're convinced that we'll bring the best telephony option to Mengão fans across the country," he concludes.

In soccer, the club's flagship, Flamengo is an eight-time Brazilian champion, a three-time Copa do Brasil champion, the most successful Carioca Championship with 37 titles, a two-time Copa Libertadores champion, and a Club World Cup champion, all of which have been lifted by great soccer stars who have worn the Sacred Mantle and, of course, by the Rubro-Negra Nation, always playing as the 12th player. Currently, the club is recognized for having the most professional structure in the country. After years of planning, restructuring, and investment in athletes, human resources, and infrastructure, the club reaped the rewards, and the numbers translated into sporting results, with achievements in soccer and Olympic sports, including national championships in rowing, basketball, artistic gymnastics, water polo, artistic swimming, and even eSports. At the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, the "Mais Querido" had 11 representatives and made history with the unprecedented achievements of gymnast Rebeca Andrade and canoeist Isaquias Queiroz, both Flamengo athletes. The club's popular anthem reflects the momentum Flamengo has experienced over the last decade: "Whether on land or at sea, win, win, win."
