Flamengo paid tribute this Monday (10/13) to Eduardo Vinicius Fernandes de Souza (Dudu), former curator of the Flamengo Museum and a historic figure in preserving the club's history. The ceremony brought together family and close friends at the Museum, where Dudu's legacy was immortalized with the unveiling of a plaque in his honor at the entrance to the trophy room.

During the event, Flamengo president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, highlighted Dudu's impact on the club. "Flamengo is present in every piece of this collection, in every corner of this museum where Dudu's presence is felt. He was a beloved, charismatic figure, left behind positive memories, and is part of everything we've built here. Nothing is more important than immortalizing his name in this space to which he dedicated himself and contributed so much," the president stated.

The president of the Deliberative Council, Ricardo Lomba, also emphasized Dudu's importance to the Flamengo Museum project: "He dedicated his life to the history and heritage of our club. His passion and vision helped make this museum a national landmark. It's an honor to forever inscribe his name in this space he loved so much."

Eduardo Vinicius, a Honorary Member since 2009, was the club's greatest collector, with over 22 items in his personal collection. He was an active participant in Flamengo's life for decades, holding important positions in various departments and boards, and was a constant supporter at stadiums, gymnasiums, and regattas. His legacy of love and dedication to the club will forever be etched in Flamengo's memory.
