Flamengo opens Water Park in Gávea

Flamengo members have another water park to call their own. The new space opened on Thursday afternoon (December 02.12) at the Gávea headquarters. It boasts approximately 120 liters of renewable water and wet play areas that are already thrilling the Flamengo kids.
The President Rodolfo Landim, the general vice-president Rodrigo Dunshee, the vice-president of Fla Gávea, Gustavo Fernandes and several members of the board of directors were present at the unveiling ceremony of the inauguration plaque.
"It wasn't an easy project to complete, and we're thrilled to be able to hand over this amazing space to our partner. I'd like to thank Landim for embracing our vision and the entire Fla Gávea team for completing this spectacular project in record time," said Gustavo Fernandes.
The new space occupies the site of the old gas station, next to the children's playground.
"I'm very happy with the rejuvenation of our headquarters. We're returning a space that wasn't being used to members. Now, these facilities will be used by our children, who will make the most of their summer. We have a lot to thank Gustavo for, who fought hard to make this happen from the beginning. It's a great joy to be here today, opening this water park, bringing another leisure option to families and increasing attendance at our club," said Landim, recalling other recent improvements.
"These are not very visible projects, but they keep the club running. We've replaced the electrical systems, the pool pumps, the lighting, and the maintenance of the tennis courts and gymnasiums, and we'll soon be opening the beach tennis area. In short, our headquarters is on par with the major socio-sports clubs in Brazil," he concluded.
The Water Park is available to members from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9am to 17pm.
