Three companies will carry out technical studies starting Monday

Flamengo has hired three specialized companies to begin technical analyses of the Gasômetro site. The goal is to gather essential information to better inform the conceptual design presented by Arena Events + Venues, responsible for the basic architectural design of the future stadium.

The studies, coordinated by Arena e+ve, will prioritize four main aspects. The most complex is the soil contamination analysis, which will be conducted by Aecom and is estimated to take six months due to the high complexity of the work. The company will be responsible for the environmental investigation, updating the risk assessment, and defining the decontamination strategy, in addition to determining the costs and timeframes required for this remediation stage.

Soloteste will collect geotechnical data to better support structural calculations, define the typology, and refine the stadium's foundation costs. JDS will be responsible for the topographic analyses. All planialtimetric characteristics and existing interferences will be refined, in addition to assessing the impact on vegetation and identifying potential remediation and environmental compensation actions that may be required by the appropriate agencies.

Based on these analyses, you'll have a solid technical foundation for refining various project definitions. With more accurate data at hand, you'll be able to more clearly assess aspects such as deadlines, costs, and specific needs, contributing to planning aligned with site conditions.
