Flamengo takes another step toward internationalizing its brand in the United States. Following a successful preseason for the first team in January of this year, the Flamengo Soccer Camp will arrive in Orlando in July. This intensive soccer training program for children and young people aged 6 to 17 (born between 2006 and 2017) will take place internationally for the first time. More details about the Camp and how to register are available here.

The Flamengo Soccer Camp, an immersion camp during the North American summer school holidays, will bring new features to further engage participants, with the presence of Flamengo scouts and tryouts during training. Other activities and benefits will be announced soon.

The project will bring soccer fans the methodology of the Flamengo School, founded in 2000 and currently the largest youth academy program in Brazil, with 280 units spread across the country. It was from one of these schools that the star Vinicius Jr., who now plays for the Brazilian National Team and Real Madrid, emerged, as well as other promising Gávea youth players, such as forward Lázaro, who currently plays for Palmeiras. In addition to Brazilians passionate about soccer and Flamengo, young North Americans and Latinos living in the region will have the chance to learn and experience a week of Brazilian Soccer Skills.

"Flamengo is Brazil's leading sports brand, both for its achievements and for the grandeur of the Red-Black Nation, with over 48 million passionate fans. We see internationalization as an important process for further strengthening our brand. In this context, the Flamengo Soccer Camp is another important step. Earlier this year, we held our professional team's preseason training in the US, and now we've launched the project's first class in Florida. We have no doubt that Flamengo's methodology and values will take root, winning over even more passionate fans abroad," emphasized Gustavo Oliveira, Flamengo's Vice President of Communications and Marketing.

"With Flamengo Soccer Camp, we're expanding the Flamengo School outside of Brazil for the first time, creating a unique opportunity for vacation fun combined with technical activities inspired by Flamengo's youth academy. Orlando is practically a Brazilian state outside of Brazil, so we hope to attract many Brazilians, but we also want to bring the Flamengo School and our soccer culture to children in the United States and other countries. We'll have weeks of incredible learning and incredible experiences," said José Martins, president of Time Forte, the company responsible for managing all Flamengo School franchises in Brazil and a partner in this project.

Flamengo and the United States

Flamengo's main team returned to the US in January of this year to compete in the FC Series, with friendlies against Philadelphia Union and Orlando City in St. Petersburg and Orlando. In 2019, a successful preseason stint was marked by winning the Florida Cup. In 2025, the club is already guaranteed a presence in the United States, where it will participate in the new FIFA Club World Cup.
