A fan car with a Nation of millions will be on the Stock Car grid in Goiânia: Texaco Racing will use a special design with Flamengo's colors in the seventh stage of this Stock Car season, scheduled for this weekend, at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna, in Goiânia (GO).

The Toyota Corolla driven by Tony Kanaan will feature the classic red and black colors of the Texaco car, more prominently, in a livery that pays homage to the club sponsored since last July. Now, there are red stripes on both the sides, which also bear the acronym "CRF" (for "Clube de Regatas do Flamengo"), and on the hood. The sides of the spoilers also feature the inscription "Mengão."

"Our goal is to increase the visibility of the Texaco brand. Soccer was a natural choice and a common thread among the diverse customer profiles with which Texaco interacts. Sponsoring Flamengo is one of our main initiatives for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, and I believe this partnership with Flamengo embodies our growth and brand presence strategy," said Paulo Gomes, marketing director at ICONIC, the Texaco brand manager.

"This is another great promotional initiative born from this new partnership between Flamengo and Texaco. Our fans will be able to watch the Stock Car Championship, cheering for Mengão and the champion Tony Kanaan. The red-and-black team will certainly feel the enormous energy of the nation in this race," said Gustavo Oliveira, the club's vice president of Communications and Marketing.

"It's an honor for me to have the support of the Red-Black Nation in Stock Car. We'll have the outer ring of Goiânia as a challenge, and the support of each and every fan sending positive energy to us at Texaco Racing will count a lot when it comes to achieving results," said Kanaan, a driver who was born in Bahia, the state where Flamengo holds the record for the largest fan base (Datafolha/2022).

Practice for the Stock Car race in Goiânia will begin this Friday, while Saturday will feature another rehearsal and qualifying. The doubleheader in the capital of Goiás will be held on Sunday, starting at 13:40 p.m., and will be broadcast on Band, Sportv, Canal GB on YouTube, and the category's digital platforms.
