On the afternoon of last Tuesday (14), the project "Enquanto sopro haver" (While there is breath), created by Bruna Letícia in partnership with singers Biork and Thay Moura, performed at CIEP Nação Rubro-Negra next to the club's headquarters, in Gávea. Through songs and awareness-raising speeches, the artists addressed topics related to suicide prevention, using music as a starting point to convey the message to the students of the Youth and Adult Education Program (PEJA) who were present, in a light and relaxed way. Athlete Diego Ribas, captain of the red-black professional football team, was also present at the event.
It's important to emphasize that suicide is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, with reports becoming increasingly common among young people. Approximately 96,8% of suicide cases are related to mental disorders, especially depression. It's essential, therefore, that the topic ceases to be taboo, so that people feel comfortable talking about it and seeking help when needed.
The action for CIEP Nação Rubro-negra students was the result of a partnership between the CRF's Social Responsibility area and the Municipal Department of Education.
