With social distancing measures in place due to the coronavirus pandemic, blood banks in Brazil are running low. With this in mind, Flamengo and Hemorio have teamed up on the "Sangue Rubro-Negro" (Red-Black Blood) campaign, which encourages the World's Biggest Fanbase to donate blood.

Throughout September, club masks will be distributed to everyone who attends Hemorio, located at 8 Frei Caneca Street, in the city center, and participates in the campaign. The initiative is supported by BRB, the master soccer partner, and all masks distributed—subject to availability—are made by small entrepreneurs in the Chapadão Complex in Rio de Janeiro.

Action for associates and collaborators in Gávea
Members of Flamengo's Gávea headquarters, as well as collaborators and employees, can participate in the campaign without leaving the club. On September 17th, the Hemorio team will be in the playground's party room from 10:15 AM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM, collecting blood. To respect the minimum social distancing recommended by authorities and protocols to ensure everyone's safety, donations will be made by appointment.

More information
Blood donation is essential for healthcare facilities to continue treating patients during treatments and surgeries. The only way to guarantee a blood supply is through voluntary donations.
