In support of the 1st PopRuaJud Campaign for the National Judicial Policy for Assistance to Homeless People, Flamengo's Department of Social Responsibility participated, last Thursday (17), in a major action to support the homeless population, providing legal and psychosocial assistance. The action, promoted by the Regional Labor Court of the 20th Region, took place in Aracaju and was attended by Flamengo idol Julio Cesar "Uri Geller" and Flamengo's Director of Social Responsibility, Angela Machado, who is from Sergipe.

Throughout the event, Flamengo distributed snacks to attendees. The initiative is part of the Recicla Nação environmental education project, which recycles bottle caps and other waste, allocating all proceeds to food for people in extremely vulnerable situations. The project is a partnership between the club's Social Responsibility Department and Soul Ambiental.

"We want to deeply thank Flamengo for its collaboration in this social initiative. The support with food and the enthusiasm of the red-and-black fans were very important. May they continue carrying out initiatives like this because it truly demonstrates Flamengo's social profile, looking out for the less fortunate and striving for greater citizenship," said Rosivania Ramos, social worker with the National PopRua Movement. 

The event took place at São Pedro Pescador Parish and also included the participation of the Rio de Janeiro State Public Defender's Office, a partner of the club's Social Responsibility Department, which regularly carries out similar initiatives for the homeless population of Rio de Janeiro. More than 500 people attended.
