Clube de Regatas do Flamengo took another step towards pioneering and improving its management. Late in the afternoon of this Thursday (22), the club held a lecture, given by consultant David Espindola, on emerging technologies and artificial intelligence for authorities, advisors and club professionals, at the Rogerio Steinberg auditorium, in Gávea.

The discussion focused on the digital transformations society is experiencing, the challenges facing the advancement of these new technologies, their areas of application, investment capacity, and the practical uses of the tool in sports, such as athlete monitoring and analysis. At the end of the presentation, the professional opened the floor to questions from the audience.

Among those present at the event were Rodolfo Landim, president of the club, Antônio Alcides, president of the Deliberative Council, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, president of the Board of Directors, and Sebastião Pedrazzi, president of the Fiscal Council.

David emphasized the importance of the topics discussed: "We came to discuss emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence and how they impact business and society, and why not, sports. Artificial intelligence can be used in various functions within an organization (...) The possibilities are endless—once you know your fans and understand their behavior," he added.

"We understand that this issue should be brought to the club's attention. The main objective is to raise awareness of how artificial intelligence will affect our lives and sport in particular. Second, to see how Flamengo can benefit from this, and third, for members to be aware of how it will affect all of our lives," added Luiz Eduardo Baptista.
