Flamengo collected more than half a ton of food, water, clothing, hygiene products, and toys for victims of the storm that struck Rio de Janeiro earlier this month. The club's initiative, announced on social media on April 9, was supported by hundreds of Flamengo fans across the state.

On Friday (26), the club removed the donations that were stored in the club's official store, in Gávea, and made the donation to the NGO Viva Rio, which will be responsible for distributing all the items to people in need.
