Flamengo makes improvements to its headquarters

The club is closed to members and visitors in compliance with WHO guidelines regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

Since March, Flamengo's headquarters in Gávea has been closed to members and visitors. This was one of the measures taken to comply with the World Health Organization's (WHO) social distancing guidelines. Meanwhile, however, the Flamengo Gávea Vice Presidency continues renovations and improvements to the club's infrastructure.

Check out the services already performed below:

- Review of the Club's substations, with replacement of transformers;

- Renovation of the field and cleaning of the stands;

- Installation of a walkway platform over the playground avenue,

for crossing without risk for children;

- Cleaning of all areas of the Club;

- Pruning of trees on Gilberto Cardoso Street;

- Complement to the paving of the avenue;

- Maintenance of swimming pools and their pumps;

- Maintenance of tennis courts;

- Painting the garage floor;

- Installation of electronic outdoor panels, which will bring new revenue to the Club;

- Renovation of the playground, with repair of toys, general painting, restoration of the children's playhouse, painting of the party room and restoration of the barbecue area;

- Daily cleaning of the headquarters;

- Garden maintenance;

- General maintenance of the Club with internal teams.

The next steps will be the renovation of the Togo Renan Soares (volleyball) and Adílio (futsal) courts, as well as the Tennis restrooms. It's also important to remember that, during this closure of the clubhouse, which is still in effect, the Club is also carrying out strict maintenance and paying water, electricity, and gas bills, as well as hiring cleaning and maintenance companies, which have all the necessary safety equipment.

At this time, the necessary protocols are being finalized to ensure the headquarters is ready for the resumption of activities in the city of Rio de Janeiro. All of this is based on guidance from the WHO, other relevant public entities, and our Unified Center for Identification and Development of Performance Athletes (CUIDAR), aiming for the safe return of our members, employees, directors, Olympic athletes, and their respective coaching staff and academies.
