Flamengo president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, received this Monday (22/09), in Gávea, the diploma from the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro recognizing Flamengo as a Historical, Cultural and Intangible Heritage of RJ, as established by Law 10.888/2025. The tribute was made by state deputy Verônica Lima, author of law 10.888/2025.

"This recognition, which is intangible, certainly touches the hearts and pride of the red-and-black fans. I thank you on behalf of the entire nation," said President Bap.

Representative Verônica Lima celebrated the moment: "Flamengo was already a cherished heritage of millions of fans. Making it a historical, cultural, and intangible heritage of Rio de Janeiro does justice to its history and its fundamental role in the history of our state and country."
