By - in

Flamengo was elected, by popular jury, winner of the 2022 iBest Award in the football teams category. Since 1995, the iBest Awards have been considered the "Oscars of the internet" in Brazil, celebrating brands that make a difference in the digital environment. The club previously won in 2020.

"This is the second time we've won the award in this category. It was another great year for Flamengo on social media, where we managed to combine relevant content production with engagement. Not to mention the strength of the immense Nação Rubro-Negra (Red-Black Nation), which makes all the difference. In 2023, we'll bring even more news and strive for even more impressive numbers," said Gustavo Oliveira, the club's vice president of Communications and Marketing.

Network records

With 960 million interactions across the main platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok), the club ranked fourth in the world ranking for engagement among football clubs in 2022.

Today, Flamengo has more than 52 million followers on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.

While on FlaTV, Mais Querido is approaching 7 million subscribers and is the fourth largest football club channel in the world, behind only Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool, on TikTok, Rubro-Negro was one of the pioneers among Brazilian clubs and today has the largest profile in the segment.

Flamengo has also been investing in its Spanish and English-language profiles, which feature daily updates and exclusive content about Flamengo's athletes, reaching the powerful markets of Spain, Latin America, and the United States. In addition to the trilingual output, another benchmark in the sports world is @TimeFlamengo, with profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram dedicated exclusively to the Club's Olympic sports, which together have around 3 million followers.

All these numbers place Flamengo today as one of the main club platforms on social media worldwide.
