Rubro-Negro is part of the “Inside the club” initiative, a strategic plan from the partner, manager of the international rights of the Brasileirão
By Flamengo and 1190 Sports - inFlamengo is moving full steam ahead with its plan to internationalize its brand. In partnership with 1190 Sports, which holds the international rights to free-to-air (FTA), pay-TV, pay-per-view (PPV), and digital platforms (OTT) for Series A and B of the Brazilian Football Championship, the club is holding "Flamengo Week," part of its "Inside the Club" initiative.
The first edition of “Inside the Club” involves “Flamengo Week”, which consists of online and offline actions in the days leading up to next Sunday (14), when Maracanã will host Flamengo x Athletico-PR. Several joint actions will be concentrated this week, such as promotion on social media, distribution of exclusive content, TV broadcasts and activations in the stadium will converge to the massive promotion of Mais Querido worldwide.
This way, fans abroad will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, from posts with special content on BrasileirãoPlay's social media channels, an exclusive 30-minute pre-match broadcast on BrasileirãoPlay/Fanatiz, live broadcasts of the match in English and Portuguese, videos featuring Rubro-Negros stars, to the broadcast of the match on Facebook outside Brazil and interaction with the club's embassies and consulates.
The initiative is part of 1190 Sports' strategic plan to manage the international rights to the Brasileirão, which is already present in over 150 countries and in 12 different languages. The goal is to contribute, through BrasileirãoPlay, to further connecting Brazilian football culture with fans of the beautiful game, immersing them in the Rubro-Negro universe.
"In 2019, we began this process before all other clubs, broadcasting the Brazilian Championship on Flamengo's social media channels worldwide. This time, television stations around the world that broadcast Brasileirão matches chose Flamengo vs. Athletico-PR, and this match is expected to be broadcast worldwide, potentially reaching 600 million people in over 150 countries and speaking 12 different languages. Flamengo's fan base was named the largest in the world by FIFA, and we'll demonstrate this with a packed Maracanã," said Rodolfo Landim, president of Flamengo.
"With 'Inside the Club,' we're opening the doors of Brazilian clubs even wider to the world. During the week dedicated to each team, international audiences will be able to learn a little more about the history of each club, their major achievements, and key players. It's a way to bring Brazilian football closer to an audience thousands of miles away, as well as familiarizing them with the players who make up each team—not just Brazilian stars but also promising international players who are currently shining in our game," says Leonardo Caetano, Country Manager of 1190 Sports Brasil.

About Flamengo
Flamengo is the biggest soccer brand and the largest multi-sport club in Latin America. Known for having the largest fan base in the world, with over 42 million passionate Flamengo fans spread across the globe, it was founded in 1895 and, since then, has collected titles in various sports over more than 125 years. In soccer, the club's flagship, Flamengo is an eight-time Brazilian champion, a three-time Copa do Brasil champion, the most successful Carioca Championship with 37 titles, a two-time Copa Libertadores champion, and a Club World Cup champion, all of which have been lifted by great soccer stars who have worn the Sacred Mantle and, of course, by the Red-Black Nation, always playing as the 12th player.
Currently, the club is recognized for having the most professional structure in the country. After years of planning, restructuring, and investment in athletes, human resources, and infrastructure, the club reaped the rewards, and the numbers translated into sporting results, with achievements in soccer and Olympic sports, including national championships in rowing, basketball, artistic gymnastics, water polo, artistic swimming, and even eSports. At the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, the "Mais Querido" had 11 representatives and made history with the unprecedented achievements of gymnast Rebeca Andrade and canoeist Isaquias Queiroz, both Flamengo athletes. The club's popular anthem is a fitting tribute to the momentum Flamengo has experienced over the last decade: "Whether on land or at sea, win, win, win."
