Futster, the first Brazilian football manager game with collectible digital cards, now has its open beta version open to the general public. In the game, which already features Flamengo and three other Serie A clubs, users collect player cards and compete in championships against other users. Players can start playing for free, and Flamengo cards are already available. Negotiations are underway for the participation of other major Brazilian clubs.

By registering for the game, users earn cards to build their first team and begin competitions. Victories generate rewards for the player, such as tokens and new cards. 

In Flamengo's packs, users will find several names from the current squad: Arrascaeta, Vidal, Everton Cebolinha, Rodinei, Filipe Luís, Léo Pereira, Bruno Henrique, João Gomes, Santos, Rodrigo Caio, Pablo, Hugo, Thiago Maia, Diego Alves, and Marinho. In addition to the club packs currently on sale, players can also purchase the Futster pack, which features cards of fictional players.

Futster's executive producer, Ivan Duffles, highlights that opening it up to the general public will make the game increasingly attractive:

We had a successful pre-sale following the announcement of partnerships with clubs, including Flamengo, attracting the attention of passionate fans and players involved in the crypto universe. In the style of football manager, Futster integrates players into matches and championships, allowing each user to develop strategies, build teams, and earn rewards through their achievements. Athletes' collectible cards reveal unique behavioral traits and statistics, which influence team performance, and matches unfold algorithmically, with moves based on the combination of each player's skills and characteristics. 

Futster packs, which contain three collectible cards, are available in the categories Várzea, Favorites, Champions, and Idols. Cards are divided into six rarity levels: Simple, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ace, and Legend. There's also the Unique card, with a print run of just one, featuring the most prominent athletes and available only through auctions on the Futster platform. 

 

- The Várzea pack will be sold for R$3 and will contain cards of all rarities, but only of fictional players.

- The Favorites pack, sold for R$18, contains cards of all rarities - with real and fictional players. 

- The Champions pack, sold for R$42, does not include Simple rarity cards, which excludes those of lower value. 

- The Idols pack costs R$1.000 and only contains cards from the Rare, Ace and Legend categories. 

Considering the specificities of each pack category, all cards are distributed randomly. In the game's first print run, 26 Favorites packs, 13 Champions packs, and 635 Idol packs are available for purchase per club. Cards and accessories can be traded on a marketplace.

Futster is built on blockchain technology. The game's NFT cards and tokens are generated on Polygon, the second layer of the Ethereum network, which ensures scalability and transaction efficiency without compromising the blockchain's security and decentralization. The tokens follow the ERC-721 and ERC-20 standards, ensuring they are secure and easily tradable. The Futster token will be available in 2023. Users who pre-ordered and played before the general launch will receive airdrops based on their achievements.
