Every Flamengo fan has always been accustomed to lifting trophies. It's the same in sports, and it's been the same during Carnival. This Friday (17), members of GRCSES FlaManguaça visited Gávea and met with president Rodolfo Landim. During the chat, they showed off the Bronze Series trophy, won in 2023, and discussed the parade.

FlaManguaça began as an organized fan club, and in July 2020, the Carnival branch was created. In its first parade appearance in 2022, in the LIESB Evaluation Group, it won the title with the slogan "I am resistance! I am black! I am the voice of the favela that does not remain silent! Nice to meet you, I am FlaManguaça!" The following year, parading in the Bronze Series—equivalent to the fourth division of Rio's Carnival—FlaManguaça once again took first place. Paying homage to the patron saint of the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved), the slogan was "The Orixás welcome you in celebration! Pray for us, Saint Jude Thaddeus."

Felipe Amorim, the school's president, Gilson Nascimento, vice-president, and Beatriz Brandão, the school's vice-president of finance, were in Gávea on Friday morning (17), with the trophy for their achievement. The trio met with Rodolfo Landim and Angela Machado, director of Social Responsibility and Citizenship at Mais Querido. The conversation focused on all the effort and the production chain involved in the parade, which lasts all year.

In 2024, FlaManguaça will parade in the Silver Series, the highest tier to participate in Intendente Magalhães. From the Gold Series onward, the parades will be held at Marquês de Sapucaí.
