Gony Arruda is Flamengo's new Vice President of External Relations
Honorary Member, he was previously the Club's administrative director and vice-president of Youth Football.
By Flamengo Regatta Club - inThis Wednesday (17), Gony Arruda was announced as Flamengo's new vice president of External Relations. President Rodolfo Landim's invitation was made after the departure of Adalberto Ribeiro, who was in charge of the department until this month.
Flamengo's benefactor, Gony Arruda played a fundamental role in the club's restructuring and professionalization process and has been a member for 34 years. Now 52, he was vice president of Youth Football at just 24, in 1996, after serving as administrative director at an even younger age, from 1993 to 1994. Arruda has also served as head of delegation for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on two occasions.
In addition to being a state deputy for five consecutive terms, having held the three main positions in the Legislative Assembly of the state of Ceará - President, 1st Vice-President and 1st Secretary -, Gony was also Secretary of Sports for the State Government in the Cid Gomes government.
