Unforgettable! Children from Maré visit the social headquarters and learn about FlaMemória
Activity was carried out by the Department of Historical Heritage last Friday (13)
By Communication - Flamengo - inLast Friday (13), the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo welcomed 45 children from the América da Maré Football Association. They visited the Gávea headquarters, FlaMemória and had a chat with their idol Adílio. This is an activity carried out by the Educational team (Guilherme and Monalysa), from the Department of Historical Heritage, which is currently responsible for receiving non-profit institutions and schools for socio-educational visits by the club.
William do Carmo, the project's creator, spoke about the young people's exciting afternoon at the social headquarters.
"It's priceless. We come from a poor community, and having Flamengo open its doors to these children, making them happy, is very special. The boys were counting down the days! For them, it's an incredible moment, a day that will remain in their lives," he said.
Jeandro Nobre do Nascimento, coach of the soccer school, highlighted the importance of the visit and the example set by Mais Querido.
"Every child has a dream, and Flamengo is an example of how it can be realized. We are a community soccer school, and children need that. Examples like Flamengo, which is one of the biggest in Brazil and the world, are fundamental. We can only be grateful for the space and the opportunity to provide this happiness to the kids."
