A woman's place is also in sports and at Flamengo. On Wednesday night (March 20th), the Flamengo Museum hosted a very special roundtable discussion on the challenges, difficulties, struggles, and perspectives of women in sports. The event featured participation from Flamengo legends Jackie Silva, Rosicleia Campos, and Dani Hypolito, as well as Juliana Vianna, the senior historian of Flamengo's Historical Heritage. Moderation was provided by Júlia Corson, a FlaTV reporter.

"The event celebrating women sheds light on their struggles, victories, and hardships. This conversation allowed us to reflect on new perspectives, with the women present sharing their experiences, both among the speakers and the guests who participated at the end. We hope to continue this event model, always offering a critical reflection on the proposed theme," explains Taísa Pires, Historical Heritage Coordinator at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

The participants shared their stories, shared personal experiences that shaped their careers, and went on to share their perspectives on the evolution of female participation in sports, the challenges already overcome, and those that still need to be overcome.

"Speaking about Women in Sports within a sports environment demonstrates the courage and competence these women had in breaking gender stereotypes, bringing visibility and recognition to inspire future generations, and encouraging new protagonists along the Flamengo trajectory. The Flamengo Museum plays a crucial role in this forum; 50% of the team is made up of women, including in leadership positions such as Management and Supervision. The event was a success and will be the first of many to come," says Natalia Lamothe, Manager of the Flamengo Museum.

-  I think it's wonderful that a museum that tells the story of a giant club like Flamengo is holding these events to bring the red-blacks closer together, to show that every red-black has a story, that it has a beginning, and that the club truly was a trailblazer in providing this direction for many athletes. I think bringing this women's agenda into the museum is always very important, holding events that bring women together, to show other women, to show society that women are conquering their space, but that it's not easy and that it's not easy. The exchange of experiences and memories among these actors illuminates pertinent issues so that society can understand and combat outdated, and even violent, opinions about women's ability to produce and legitimize themselves in the job market. - I think it's incredibly important. As soon as I arrived, Jackie was one of the first guests I met. She said, "Wow, I'm so happy about this event, that the club is hosting this event." For me, it was more than an honor. I'm a huge fan of everyone here. So being able to be with these women, as I said, these powerful women and Flamengo fans, was great. And being able to debate, talk about each one's legacy, talk about the path they paved for what we see today in sports at Flamengo and around the world.
