Court rules in favor of Flamengo in Libra case.
By Communication - inJudge Lucia Helena do Passo, in analyzing Flamengo's claim against Libra — regarding the sharing of broadcasting rights for Brazilian Championship games — acknowledged that the club is correct.
The Court's most recent decision rejected the argument put forward by Libra and authorized the Club to withdraw the amount corresponding to the so-called "Scenario 1," without the proportional reduction sought by the association. The difference between the amounts remains withheld.
The decision also stipulated that LIBRA must resubmit the calculations regarding the amounts to be collected by the other members, in order to reduce them proportionally.
Regarding the installment due in November 2025, the Rapporteur highlighted that the dispute should be submitted to arbitration. FLAMENGO disagrees with the legal basis in this particular matter, but will follow the court's guidance.
It should be noted that, in all her decisions, Lucia Helena do Passo always stated that, during discussions for the approval of revenue distribution criteria, LIBRA never respected the statutory principle of unanimity.
The Club reaffirms its commitment to transparency, compliance with court decisions, and respect for the dispute resolution mechanisms stipulated in the contract.
