In this domingo (14), from 14pm, Flamengo and Brahma Brewery will guarantee entertainment for the Red-Black Nation, with a live broadcast from the Maracanã stadium. The Brahma Live Circuit presents Mengão Live, which also has the support of Braziline and the publisher Panini and will be packed with attractions featuring the club's illustrious fans, including directors, journalists, athletes, idols, artists and digital influencers, on football's sacred stage.The event begins with President Rodolfo Landim officially opening the event and ends with quality samba, sung by Mumuzinho and Xande de Pilares, followed by Flamiguinhos' music videos and unmissable chats.
Social responsibility
Throughout the Mengão Live, viewers can donate any amount they wish, in cash, to SOS Favela, a project led by Viva Rio, using a QR code on the screen. Flamengo is an official partner of the initiative and has already delivered food baskets, hand sanitizer, and masks to more than 40 communities in Rio de Janeiro.
“Flamengo has a legion of more than 42 million fans and therefore understands its role in society. Mengão Live It is another action by the club to help those most in need, with entertainment and solidarity,” said Rodolfo Landim, president of Flamengo.
"At a time when championships are suspended in Brazil, fans have been missing one of their greatest passions: soccer. So, with the Brahma Live Circuit and its soccer-focused initiatives, we're bringing quality entertainment to people at a time when they should be taking care of themselves and staying home. We're also able to shine a light on important causes. After the success we had with the Circuit in the music world, with over a hundred live streams, we began developing a soccer entertainment project as well. After all, Brahma has always been by fans' side during the most important moments of their lives. Now, it couldn't be any different," said José Octávio Freitas, Brahma's marketing manager.
To ensure the safety of the participants who will be present at the venue, Covid-19 tests will be carried out on all those involved, in partnership with Braziline, at Flamengo's social headquarters, in Gávea, this Friday (12). At the event, at Maracanã, all hygiene and social distancing standards recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) will be respected. To fans, Mengão and Brahma recommend: stay home and enjoy the Mengão Live with the whole family!
Heavyweight cast
Journalist Glenda Kozlowski and actor, musician, and DJ Marcello Melo Jr. will host the event, with special appearances by Thiago Asmar of the Pilhado channel and Getúlio Vargas, the club's former goalkeeper and sports commentator. President Rodolfo Landim will open the event, followed by stars from the club's Olympic sports. Olivinha, a FlaBasquete idol; Emanuel Borges, a bronze medalist rower at the World Cup; Rosicleia Campos, a Flamengo coach and judo legend; and Diana Barcelos, a two-time world champion Paralympic rower, will be present at the Maracanã.
In addition to this amazing team on site, the giants of national Olympic sport Isaquias Queiroz, canoeist and the first Brazilian athlete to win three medals in a single Olympics, and Sarah Menezes, judoka and the first Brazilian to win an Olympic gold medal in the sport, will participate from home, via video call.
The show continues with chat segments featuring influencers Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, Gustavo Henrique "Dando Choque," Deco SRN, Flazoeiro, and Raisa Simplicio; a moving conversation with longtime Flamengo idols; and a chat with current soccer directors and athletes, as well as past stars who have forever inscribed their names in the history of the club and Maracanã, which turns 70 in July.
