Mental health is crucial for cancer patients, as cancer affects not only the body but also self-esteem and emotional well-being, hindering the progress of therapies employed in the search for a cure and significantly reducing the patient's quality of life. With this in mind, during Pink October, which marks the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Campaign, Flamengo's Social Responsibility and the Flamengo Museum's Education Department provided a very special experience for 22 women from the Cantagalo Pavão-Pavãozinho community, assisted by the Rede Postinho de Saúde (Health Network), a non-profit organization that has been providing free preventive and comprehensive healthcare to socially vulnerable women aged 2010 and older in the community since 13.

The event, titled "Voo do Vulture," included a guided tour of the Flamengo Museum and the Botanical Garden Museum, where the women learned about the history and achievements of the red-and-black club, explored its facilities, and understood the importance of soccer to Rio's culture. After the museum visit, the group was taken to the Botanical Garden Museum, one of the city's most iconic spaces, where they enjoyed moments of connection with nature and visited the Biomes of Brazil exhibition.

"Today I came to participate in the tour of the Flamengo Museum and the Botanical Garden Museum, and most importantly, I was able to bring my son Ravi. These were places we hadn't been to before, a cultural outing that many don't get to do. I was so happy!" said Patrícia, a resident of Cantagalo Pavão Pavãozinho.

The "Voo do Vulture" initiative stood out for promoting social and cultural inclusion, offering women an enriching experience that reinforces the importance of social responsibility actions in sport.
