Mercado Livre and Flamengo on the field in the fight against racism
Patch with anti-racist symbol will be made available for free
By Communication - Flamengo - inFlamengo takes the field with a patch expressing support for the anti-racist struggle in soccer and other sports. The initiative is being implemented by Mercado Livre, which created the patch with an anti-racist symbol so its Brazilian users can demonstrate their rejection of the racist attitudes seen in Spanish league matches.
As a sponsor and partner of one of the largest men's and women's soccer clubs in the world, Mercado Livre wants to engage everyone in this fight for racial equality. The patch that will appear on the shirts of the men's and women's teams will also be sent and made available free of charge to the platform's users in Brazil in the coming days.
100 patches will be sent at no additional cost to customers who make purchases on the platform in the coming days. A manifesto will also be sent in the form of a letter supporting the anti-racist struggle and addressing issues related to the cause.
The women's team will take to the field with the patch this Friday (26), against Palmeiras, for the Brazilian Women's Championship, at 21:30 pm, at the Luso Brasileiro stadium (RJ). Tomorrow, Saturday (27), it will be the turn of the Flamengo men's team to take to the field with the anti-racist patch on their shirt, in the game against Cruzeiro, at 18:30 pm, at Maracanã (RJ).
