The commemorative t-shirt launched today will be on sale for seven days exclusively on e-commerce.
By Flamengo and Mercado Livre - inMercado Livre, a leading e-commerce and financial services technology company in Latin America, announces the renewal of its sponsorship of Flamengo's soccer teams. For 24 months, the brand will continue to appear on the match and training jerseys of the athletes and the coaching staff of the Soccer Departments, as well as on signs and backdrops at the George Helal training center, the club's headquarters in Gávea, the Maracanã stadium, and other interview locations for athletes, coaching staff, and directors. The agreement also includes e-commerce communication on social media and on the homepage of the Club's official website.
"The sponsorship renewal celebrates a winning partnership. This time, we're including Flamengo's men's and women's professional teams in a single contract, demonstrating our commitment to gender equality in our partnerships. Over these two years, we've strengthened our relationship by uniting two strengths: Mercado Livre's innovative DNA with the world's largest fan base, bringing positive initiatives to promote sports. We will continue to further advance our relationship with this audience and find synergies as we bring Mercado Livre ever closer together," emphasizes Thais Nicolau, Mercado Livre's branding director in Latin America.
Flamengo is preparing for the most anticipated matches of the season, which will take place in Morocco between February 1st and 11th. To support the fans in another victorious journey, Flamengo is launching a special commemorative t-shirt today, featuring exclusive sale on Mercado Livre for seven days.
"We are very pleased with the renewal of this contract. Mercado Livre is much more than just a brand on our jersey. It is one of our biggest marketing success stories and represents what Flamengo aims to achieve in terms of digital presence, commercial partnerships, and brand positioning," celebrated Gustavo Oliveira, Flamengo's Vice President of Communications and Marketing.
Innovation is the hallmark of the partnership
Since the agreement was signed in 2021, Mercado Livre has brought its innovative DNA to the partnership, resulting in highly visible initiatives such as the launch of the Club's Official Store on the platform, the announcement of players like David Luiz, and the Father's Day campaign featuring Zico, the biggest idol of the red-and-black fans. Another notable project is #ElasJogam, created to provide greater access to soccer for all girls and women who want to grow and develop in the sport.
Additionally, Mercado Livre supported Flamengo in the launch of the Belford Roxo soccer school in Rio de Janeiro, with an event for the children, who also received uniforms. "Increasing the visibility of initiatives like these is extremely important for us. At Mercado Livre, we're used to delivering packages every day, but now being able to deliver purpose, hope, and education through supporting sports is another great chapter in this partnership with Flamengo," concludes Thais.
