Flamengo Museum celebrates two years with the presence of Zico and Olivinha

A chat with the red-and-black idols marked the celebration with a tribute to Adílio

The Flamengo Museum celebrated two years of history on Thursday night (August 14th) with a special chat that brought together generations of stars and fans of the red-and-black tradition. The meeting, held at the Gávea headquarters, was attended by Zico and Olivinha — idols whose busts greet newcomers to the club — as well as former players Mozer, Andrade, Nélio, and Jean, in a celebration marked by emotion, memory, and reverence for the history of Brazil's biggest club.

During the celebration, Zico and Olivinha participated in a chat with guests, signed autographs, took photos with the public, and praised the Museum's role in preserving the club's identity. Also to mark the occasion, a special tribute was held to Adílio, who passed away a year ago: exhibits throughout the museum highlight historic pieces of the eternal number 8, including the jersey worn in the 1981 World Cup final, trophies, banners, rare photos, and personal items of the star.

For Zico, the museum is a symbol of Flamengo's commitment to the future: "I wish the museum prosperity and that it never becomes complacent so it can continue to grow and evolve. As has always been the case with Flamengo's history, the future also holds great things," stated the Galinho.

Along the same lines, Olivinha expressed her gratitude for being part of this moment: “It is an honor for me to be here.I'm representing Olympic sports, having been with the club for 19 years and winning several trophies. I'm incredibly grateful to be at this special moment in the museum, which is incredible," he said, inviting all fans to visit the space and experience Flamengo's living history.
