Clube de Regatas do Flamengo strongly condemns the attacks suffered by Flamengo fans who traveled by bus from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo to watch the match against Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil. It is worth noting that these fans were attacked despite being escorted by the Military Police. This type of violence is unacceptable. We are certain that it did not originate from true Corinthians fans. Those responsible for this act of vandalism are criminals and should be treated as such by the appropriate authorities. We hope that all appropriate measures will be taken to punish those responsible. Flamengo is available to report the facts reported to us to the authorities. Brazilian football always loses with any episode of violence. Therefore, we ask, once again: peace in football.
