Official note – Clarification on the note published this Thursday (10) in Ancelmo Gois’ column
By Flamengo Regatta Club - inWe were shocked by the note published this Thursday (10) by journalist Ancelmo Gois, from the newspaper O Globo, stating that "the Fiscal and Administrative Councils would have approved a corporate card of R$ 5 million for Flamengo directors". It borders on the absurd that this respected column imagines information like this to be credible, without even trying to confirm its veracity with Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
It should be clarified that the approval was a line of credit, which included a corporate card with a limit of R$4 million, to be used by the Club on an institutional basis, and not by individual directors. The vote was taken by the Board of Directors, after analyzing the opinions of Flamengo's Fiscal Council and Permanent Finance Committee, in an extraordinary virtual meeting from August 28th to September 08nd, with the participation of 02 directors, 09 in favor and four against.
