Clube de Regatas do Flamengo publicly repudiates rumors spread on social media that, last Friday, during a meeting to evaluate the registration process for the candidates who will run in the club's elections in December, president Eduardo Bandeira de Mello allegedly intimidated and offended employee Francisca Freire, known as Chiquinha, manager of the club's Deliberative, Administrative, Great Benefactors and General Assembly councils. 

This is fake news, being used for electoral gain. In the distorted episode, the president reassured the employee and informed her that she could carry out her work without being intimidated by pressure from anyone.

Flamengo champions professionalism and values ​​and appreciates the dedication of all its employees who dedicate themselves daily to their duties. This is the case with Chiquinha, a former athlete and honored member who has defended the red-and-black colors with talent and passion for 26 years, and is loved and respected by all. 

Finally, Flamengo understands that club professionals cannot have their names used as a political tool during election periods.
