The Social Responsibility department of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, in partnership with the Human Rights Defense Unit of the Rio de Janeiro Public Defender's Office, promoted the “Nação no Maraca” action, taking 22 homeless people to Maracanã, for the first time, to watch Mengão's 5-0 victory over Athletico-PR, last Sunday (14).

"Social inclusion is one of the lines of work of our Social Responsibility, and through the 'Nação no Maraca' campaign, we distribute tickets to Flamengo games at Maracanã to enable integration and collective participation. The goal is to provide more democratic and diverse spaces," said Ângela Machado, the club's Director of Social Responsibility.

This isn't Flamengo's first Social Responsibility initiative targeting the homeless population. With social inclusion as one of its core areas of focus, Flamengo has already worked in partnership with the Public Defender's Office and other institutions working on this issue to distribute meals and provide general community support.

With the victory, Flamengo took second place in the Brazilian Championship, with 39 points. The Most Beloved returns to the field on Wednesday (17), at 21:30 pm, to face Athletico-PR again, at Arena da Baixada, for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil.
