The pharmaceutical company and the Copa do Brasil finalist will take advantage of the championship decision to highlight the importance of the updated vaccination schedule.

Pfizer Brazil and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will join forces in the fight for vaccination in today's Copa do Brasil final. The pharmaceutical company and the Rio de Janeiro team will use the greatest symbol of collective responsibility in football—the captain's armband—to lead a movement for immunization.

The armband is the captain's icon on the field, responsible for the entire team, for communication, and, most importantly, for motivating the team to achieve the best results. That's why, in the Copa do Brasil final, Flamengo's captain will enter the match wearing a special armband, replacing the traditional "C" on the captain's armband with the symbol of a vaccine bandage.

"We're thrilled to be able to contribute to this cause; keeping up-to-date with vaccinations is crucial to preventing numerous diseases. We're confident that the Flamengo Nation will embrace this campaign," said Gustavo Oliveira, Flamengo's VP of Communications and Marketing.

"We are all working to prevent the return of diseases that can be prevented through vaccination, so we need to continue to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining the complete vaccination schedule, including booster doses," says Adriana Ribeiro, Medical Director of Pfizer Brazil.

The awareness campaign, titled "Bracelet of Responsibility," will also feature a testimonial from Júnior, a fan favorite among Flamengo fans, to reinforce the message. The video will be broadcast on the Maracanã's giant screens. In addition to being shown during the Copa do Brasil final, the video will be replayed during Flamengo's match against Corinthians at the same stadium on November 2nd, in the Brazilian Championship. The virtual campaign will also be shared on the social media channels of Flamengo, Júnior, and Pfizer.
