Flamengo's fan membership program grows 13% this year, reaching 105 members
Nação Rubro-Negra gained more than 13 members in the first quarter of 2019 alone; funds raised are invested in the club's football

Boasting the highest average attendance in Brazilian football in 2019, the Mais Querido is also experiencing significant growth in its fan membership program, which just celebrated its sixth anniversary. In the first quarter alone, over 13 members have already signed up.
Following the team's good form, which is leading its group in the Conmebol Libertadores and champion of the Taça Rio, Nação surpassed the 105 member mark this Monday (1), and remains one of the largest in the country. A 13% jump compared to the 92 registered at the beginning of the year. A significant result, whose budget is entirely directed to the football department.
"Today we have one of the best squads in Brazil, and this is only possible thanks to our club members. They helped build this squad and make a difference in our football, because the funds raised are invested in infrastructure, players, and youth development. I'm very happy with the growth because it shows that the work is being done well, and I'm sure we'll still improve a lot this year," said Mauricio Portela, the club's marketing director.
In the stands, there were more than 40 paying spectators per match in 2019. In total, more than 326 tickets have been sold for Flamengo's eight home matches this year. For next Wednesday's match against Peñarol in the CONMEBOL Libertadores, more than 45 tickets were sold to club members alone.
