The Recicla Nação Project distributes blankets and breakfast to homeless people.

Temperatures dropped and, on Saturday morning (21), volunteers from the Recicla Nação project, from Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, were in downtown Rio to distribute blankets and breakfast to homeless people living in the Praça da Cruz Vermelha region. In total, around 200 people were impacted. Recicla Nação is an environmental education project that encourages the recycling of bottle caps and other solid plastic waste, allocating all proceeds to fund meals for people in extremely vulnerable situations. The project is an initiative of Flamengo's Social Responsibility Department, in partnership with Soul Ambiental (@soulambiental) and Associação Recomeçar (@recomecar_doe).
In total, Recicla Nação has already recycled more than eight tons of solid waste, generating more than 11 meals for people in extremely vulnerable situations.
You can also support the Recicla Nação project by collecting bottle caps and depositing them in the collection points located throughout the clubs or by delivering your bottle caps to the headquarters of the Associação Recomeçar, located at Rua Itacoatiara, 51, in Vista Alegre, Rio de Janeiro.
You can also participate in Flamengo's warm clothing drive by donating blankets, coats, hats, gloves and warm clothing, whether new or in good condition, to the Rubro-Negro Social Responsibility Department, at the Gávea headquarters.
