Rules for the Cell Phone Photography Contest “THE JOY OF BEING A RUBRO-NEGRO FAN IN MY FAVELA!”

Pre-selection of the 40 best photographs: From February 27, 02 to March 2020, 03
Selection of the 10 winning photographs: From 04/03/2020 to 10/03/2020
Publication of the contest results: From 11/03/2020 to 18/03/2020
Exhibition of winning photographs: End of March
3. Awards
The 10 (ten) best photos will be awarded with tickets (+1 ticket for a companion) for a Flamengo football match at Maracanã, throughout 2020, to be defined by the club itself.
The author of the winning photograph will accompany the work of the club's official photographer(s), on the field, during a Flamengo football match at Maracanã.
The author of the photograph classified in second place will accompany the work of the club's official photographer(s) during a Flamengo basketball match.
The 10 (ten) winning photos will be displayed at Flamengo's headquarters, in the exhibition “The joy of being a red-black in my favela!”, accompanied by a brief biography of each photographer.
The prize includes only tickets and necessary credentials. Transportation and meals will be at the expense of the participants and/or their guardians.
4. Registrations
Photographs must be submitted exclusively via email to concurso.alegria@afroreggae.com.br, within the deadline established in the schedule.
I. Participants will be allowed to enter with more than one photo, provided that the maximum number of 1 (one) photo per registration email sent to the contest is observed.
II. In the registration email, the participant must send the photo stating name, date of birth, telephone number, address and a brief description about the photo.
III. The data must be filled out correctly. The contest organizers are not responsible for the accuracy of the information, incorrect data submitted by the participant, or problems with photo transmission.
IV. Only photos taken on cell phones will be accepted. Photos that do not meet specifications and/or are submitted after the deadline will be deleted.
V. Employees of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and/or people related to the Afroreggae organization will not be able to participate in the competition.
VI. Registration is free.
5. Submission criteria
Considering the theme of the contest, participants are free to create their cell phone photographs as they wish, observing the following points:
I. Images must be captured in a horizontal position.
II. Photographs may not feature digital effects, such as edges, distortions or any insertions of images unrelated to the moment they were captured.
III. Personal photographs require authorization for the use of the image of the person(s) being photographed, as per the model attached to these regulations. Authorization must be submitted in writing along with the photograph. Photographs without this authorization will be disqualified.
IV. Only photos taken using a cell phone camera will be considered.
6. Disqualification criteria
Photos that do not comply with the rules set out in these regulations and/or fall into the following cases will be disqualified from the competition:
I. Image protected by intellectual property laws or by the rights of privacy and publicity.
II. Content that is obscene, offensive, libelous, politically suggestive, defamatory, or prohibited by law.
III. Inadequate images, with low quality, insufficient description or that, for any reason, do not meet the required standards.
IV. Participants who are not between the ages of 10 and 17.
7. Selection
The pre-selection of the 40 (forty) best photos will be evaluated by a Judging Committee composed of members of the Afroreggae organization, with the selection of the 10 (ten) winning photos being the responsibility of photographers and professionals from the Communication and Historical Heritage area of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
The evaluation criteria for cell phone photographs are: creativity, aesthetic criteria of the image and representation of the proposed theme.
The classified photos will be notified by email throughout the month of March 2020.
8. Final dispositions
I. The Judging Committees are sovereign and are responsible for evaluating and resolving cases not covered by these regulations, with no right of appeal.
II. Failure to comply with any rule in these regulations may result, at the discretion of the competition organizer, in the disqualification of the photo(s) entered and, consequently, of the respective participant.
III. The act of registering for this competition implies acceptance and agreement with all items of these regulations.
IV. Participants hereby declare that they are responsible for the authorship of the photos submitted and that they do not constitute plagiarism or any other form of copyright appropriation prohibited by law, assuming full responsibility for any reproductions of third party works.
V. Providing false information or sending photos taken by third parties will result in elimination from the competition.
VI. Flamengo reserves the indisputable right to reproduce the photos included in its institutional material at any time and for an indefinite period, giving due credit to the author.
VII. Photos with a watermark, author's name or other identifying mark will be disqualified.
VIII. Participants who commit any type of proven fraud will be summarily disqualified.
