As part of its strategy to strengthen its brand, ABC da Construção, a chain specializing in construction finishing products, intends to renew its sponsorship of Flamengo, the current Rio de Janeiro champion. The new contract, which will still be subject to a vote by the club's Deliberative Council, will be extended until December 2023 and also includes support for the club's men's basketball, women's soccer, and under-20 soccer teams.

The brand expects to reach 1,000 stores in the Southeast region in the coming years, and sponsorship of major clubs is part of this expansion plan, which will include a marketing investment of R$50 million for 2022 and 2023. According to Tiago Moura Mendonça, CEO of ABC da Construção, the team has immense visibility, which, from the retail chain's marketing perspective, is in line with the brand's objective of becoming increasingly recognized nationally, both in physical and digital retail.

Flamengo, in Mendonça's opinion, is a club that supports various sports beyond soccer, and the company supports this stance because it believes in the growth of society through sports. "In this sense, ABC is very proud to be able to add value to this partnership with the team," he concludes.

The new agreement with Flamengo provides for the display of the company's logo on the back of the shorts of the professional men's soccer, women's soccer, under-20 soccer and basketball uniforms until December 2023.

Since the announcement of the initial contracts in the middle of this year, ABC has identified an increase in the general public's familiarity with the brand, especially in new areas and new niches, such as football fans, realizing that sponsorships have been an assertive strategy that has increased audience engagement on its social networks.
