Rio de Janeiro City Hall held a joint planting campaign for the Athletes' Forest on Tuesday (10) in Deodoro Radical Park, in the city's West Zone. Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim, along with the club's Olympic athletes, attended the event led by the municipal undersecretary of Olympic Legacy, Patrícia Amorim (former president of the club) and the Municipal Secretary of the Environment.

"I was very grateful to receive the invitation to participate in this revitalization action of the area together with our athletes. And the Flamengo sapling was planted in the five-hectare area of ​​​​the Deodoro Radical Park," said Rodolfo Landim..

By the end of the day, the space will receive 13.725 seedlings of 207 Atlantic Forest species—a promise from the 2016 Olympic Games. The event marks the revitalization of the area, which has been degraded in recent decades. Deodoro Radical Park is located at 1357 Marechal Alencastro Road, in the Ricardo de Albuquerque neighborhood, in the North Zone.
