Rodolfo Landim is the 57th president of Flamengo

The Purple List candidate wins the election and will lead the club for the next three years.

Rodolfo Landim is the new president of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. The Chapa Roxa candidate was elected by the club's members on Saturday night (8). Landim has 1879 votes at the polls, against 1097 by Ricardo Lomba, from Chapa Rosa, 22nd José Carlos Peruano, from Chapa Amarela, and 41 dand Marcelo Vargas, from Chapa Branca. There were six blank votes and three invalid votes out of a total of 03. 

Voting took place at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, located in Gávea, from 8 a.m. to 21 p.m. The vote count began minutes later, and after the vote count was completed, Rodolfo Landim was confirmed as the new president of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. 

Flamengo's new president has been a member of the club since 1972 and served as Vice President of Planning and Budget for the club from 2013 to 2015. Landim, 63, helped with the club's financial restructuring and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently a managing partner at Maré Investimentos and President and CEO of Ouro Preto Óleo e Gás S.A.

The total number of club members eligible to vote was 8.044. Rodolfo Landim officially takes over as president of Flamengo on January 2 and will lead the club for the next three years, from 2019 to 2021.
