Fla Memória trophy room named after José Maria Scassa
Flamengo paid tribute to the journalist, a Flamengo fan and a great name in the sports world.

Tuesday night (9) was special in Gávea. With the presence of family, friends, former colleagues and president Rodolfo Landim, the Fla Memória trophy room was officially named in honor of journalist José Maria Scassa, a red-and-black fan who died in 1980.
The tribute to Scassa, a prominent figure in Brazilian sports journalism, was an initiative of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo in conjunction with the Vice-Presidency of Historical Heritage. He, who died on November 9, 1980, was a commentator and columnist, and never hid his red-and-black affiliation. Born on February 24, 1911, José Maria attended the Mais Querido since 1933, being one of those responsible for shaping the club's history.
Forever part of Flamengo's history, the journalist will now have his name in the red-and-black trophy room, a space already characteristic of visits to Fla Memória, an interactive exhibition located in Gávea.
