Flamengo's headquarters undergoes several renovations and structural improvements
Construction work at the club in Gávea is in full swing; check out all the changes.
By Flamengo Communication - inFlamengo members' assets are increasingly valued. The club's headquarters in Gávea has undergone several renovations and structural improvements, including remodeling gymnasiums, alleys, swimming pools, and administrative departments.
Taking advantage of the club's closure in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, construction continued at full speed to welcome back members, athletes, staff, and regulars. Last year, the renovations to the Hélio Maurício and Togo Renan Soares gymnasiums were completed; the artificial turf field and the grass and locker rooms on the official field were refurbished; the walkway over the garage exit leading to the playground was installed; the path between the playground and the tennis courts was paved; maintenance was carried out on the tennis courts and gardens; the garage floor was painted; two outdoor electronic billboards were installed; and the playground equipment, party room, and barbecue area were refurbished.
"The clubhouse is a heritage of all members, and we can only thank all the members who paid their dues and made this remodeling process of our club possible. The changes so far have been very significant, and we have even more to come," said Gustavo Fernandes, vice president of Fla-Gávea.
Work is now underway on paving the avenues around the tennis courts, paving and changing the staircase between the administrative building and the water park/social pool, installing the new roof and expanding the Adílio court, renovating the electrical system of the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, renovating the roof of the pool pergola and electrical substation 2.
In the coming weeks, members can expect more news! Planned renovations include the tennis locker room, the installation of new court lighting, the repair of the roofs of the Hélio Maurício and Claudio Coutinho gymnasiums, the construction of the Recreation Park, and the drainage of both the alley leading from the garage and Carlinhos Square, with new developments in this area of the Club as well.
