Fan club members have already received more than R$52 in discounts on medicines this year.
Partner of the Nação Rubro-Negra Program, DPSP Group (Drogarias Pacheco and Drogaria São Paulo) has more than 1.230 stores across the country
By Isabela Abirached - inFlamengo's fan membership program is undergoing transformation. In addition to internalizing its administration to further connect the club's fans with the Red-Black Nation, new partners in the discount chain are already offering members numerous benefits. One of these partners is the DPSP Group, which owns the Drogarias Pacheco and Drogaria São Paulo chains. The company has physical stores in nine Brazilian states—Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Paraná, São Paulo, Bahia, Pernambuco, and Alagoas—as well as the Federal District. They also deliver online orders nationwide.
According to the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), in a 2012 survey, Brazilian families spend the largest amount on healthcare (48,6%), which may explain why discounts on medications are so valued by members from six Brazilian states who have already saved R$52.741,00 on purchases at the partner chain from January to March. One of them was Walter Monteiro, who shared on his Twitter account a R$52,20 discount on a R$182,16 purchase.
I didn't imagine it, but I got a R$52,00 discount at a pharmacy in SP by showing my Flamengo ST card. @orlean, I owe you a beer with this change I saved pic.twitter.com/iDaVtRFEGd

"Flamengo's fan membership program is very well structured, and we couldn't help but be part of this initiative, offering benefits to fans. We're pleased with the results and believe there's still enormous potential for growth," says Mathias Pereira, New Business Manager at Grupo DPSP.
However, even though the amount is quite significant, many members of the program still don't enjoy the full benefits of being a Flamengo fan club member. In the case of drugstores, for example, only 3.061 members have already taken advantage of their benefits. According to Bruno Dias, manager of Nação Rubro-Negra, better communicating the benefits to members and expanding the program's enormous potential is one of this year's priorities.
"Today, our focus is to encourage club members to take advantage of the benefits the Nação Rubro-Negra program has provided so far. We've already seen an improvement in our communication, and the numbers from our partnership with DPSP are encouraging. Even so, we know we can improve even further, and the key is to communicate better, until we can speak to members in the most targeted and personalized way possible, so that each member knows what interests them most," said the club manager, who assured that the network of partners will continue to expand.
"We've managed to secure several partnerships for our own benefits network. These are major brands, present throughout Brazil, offering real benefits to our fan club members. And the second half of this year still holds many new developments," he added.
