Fluminense fan apologizes for unfortunate statement about boys who died at Ninho do Urubu
By Flamengo Regatta Club - inAfter an unfortunate publication made on his YouTube channel, André Luiz Oliveira brands, in good faith, contacted representatives of the Legal Department of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo to enter into an agreement in which he, in addition to paying for the donation of 20 basic food baskets to a charity indicated by the Club's Social Responsibility Department, would publish a formal retraction on the aforementioned YouTube channel and, as a result, Flamengo would desist from taking any appropriate legal action against him.
Thus, André Luiz published, last Sunday (30), the reading of the retraction note for the statement, in a video posted on May 15th of this year, about the boys who died in the fire at Ninho do Urubu.
In the note, André Luiz addresses the Flamengo and Fluminense fans, as well as the families of the minors who died and the Flamengo institution, and says that he “recognized the error, contacted Flamengo management and requested an agreement so that he could retract the mistake he made in disrespecting the club and the memory of the boys who died in the fire.” In addition to the apology, André Luiz stated that he committed to donating the 20 basic food baskets to a charity in Rio de Janeiro indicated by Flamengo and to never commit an act of this nature again.
