This Tuesday (27) was a day of celebration at the Flamengo Museum. On the day the place completed one year of existence, none other than Zico and Filipe Luís brightened the night. While the nation's greatest idol participated in a very special visit to the museum's facilities, the coach of the under-20 soccer team, alongside Iago, the team captain, and Caio Garcia and Felipe Teresa, scorers of the goals in the final, went to take the category's world cup trophy, as well as the ball and Caio and Felipe's game shirts. The trophy was won last Saturday (24), against Olympiacos, at Maracanã.

The people asked for the world again, and the Boys of the Nest delivered. And no one better to receive this special trophy than Arthur Antunes Coimbra, a product of Mengão's youth academy and a world champion with the professional team in 1981. In addition to Flamengo's idols and athletes, the event celebrating the first anniversary of the Flamengo Museum also featured Vice President Rodrigo Dunshee, who represented the board due to President Landim's trip; Flamengo CEO Reinaldo Belotti; Vice President of Historical Heritage Pierre Batista; Vice President of Youth Football Vitor Zanelli; MUDE CEO Marcelo Fernandes; and collaborators and guests.

Zico

"Always so much joy and satisfaction, especially from someone (himself) who joined the club at 14 years old. I never imagined I'd be here celebrating a world title in a category I've played in. I've spent time here (in Gávea) with Gazela Negra, Georgette (Vidor), and many athletes from swimming, basketball, volleyball, and bocce... It's gratifying to know that their stories are being told here at the museum. We must always congratulate those who helped in some way build all this here. I'm sure that every fan who comes here is proud of their story. Just like me, as a fan, I'm also very proud. Being in the hall of fame doesn't have any weight because I'm a Flanengo fan; it makes me happy because, from 1960 onward, I've seen all the idols represented in the hall of fame."

Filipe Luís, under-20 coach

"I'm so happy with this achievement, I'm still hoarse from the game. The transition (from athlete to coach) was easy because I was very clear that I wanted to stop playing and that what I wanted to do was be a coach. Flamengo opened its doors and welcomed me with open arms. In the U-17 team, we also won a title, and the boys welcomed me very warmly. In the U-20 team, it was an even greater challenge. They're already grown men, but they also bought into the idea and played an incredible game. The victory is theirs. I'm very proud, and we want more."

Rodrigo Dunshee, General Vice President

"It's an honor to be here, speaking on behalf of the board and standing next to Zico in the museum that honors the club's greatest achievement. I was in Tokyo and witnessed this story firsthand. The players called me "Beirinha" because I was always there on the sidelines (laughs). It's an honor to be here with Zico. My father was president when he was playing. I was looking at old photos a little while ago and I was incredibly emotional. I spent time with them (the World Cup-winning team) as a kid, and those players had a brotherly relationship. They grew up together and were a family, which continues to this day." I'm very honored to represent the board at this one-year anniversary celebration for our museum, and now we'll have the inauguration of the second floor in a few months. I thank everyone, the Historical Heritage team, who are passionate about the club's history, Flamengo, and everything they do here. I thank MUDE, the CEO, who I know how hard they worked, and the other administrations that also worked on this project, until our arrival in 2019, when we began building this with MUDE."

"It's very emotional for me, Zico. I heard so many goals in the voice of the late Jorge Curi, 'Zicão! Number 10!' I'm very happy to take on the role, to promote and protect our history. This past year, we had over 100 visitors, 15 of whom were children from social groups. We hope to do much more. I congratulate the entire team, this amazing team at the museum, at the Historical Heritage, and I also congratulate President Landim and Vice President Dunshee, who are leading the most successful administration in Flamengo's history."

"This museum was a long-standing ambition of the Flamengo fans, second only to the new stadium. But at the time, when Landim and Dunshee took over, we had a contract with MUDE that was expiring without having been used. We revamped that contract, and today we've completed a year of the museum, but before that, it was six years of very hard work. Our partners and sponsors were vital to the museum's construction, and today it's a reality, one of Rio's greatest tourist attractions. We still have a significant part of the museum to launch, but today we launched the digital museum. I invite everyone to take a look; it's spectacular. This greatly democratizes Flamengo's history for the entire country, since our club has the vast majority of its fans outside of Rio. May Flamengo become increasingly well-known in Brazil and around the world. Congratulations to the entire museum team and to MUDE for their expertise, and, most importantly, congratulations to our greatest idol (Zico), who is always present at our celebrations."
