The wake for former president Gilberto Cardoso Filho was held this Tuesday (16), in the Salão Nobre, in Gávea. Family members, friends, directors, former directors and President Rodolfo Landim were present.
Gilberto passed away last Monday at the age of 82, after contracting Covid-19. Below is the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo's note of condolence.
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo deeply mourns the passing of former president Gilberto Cardoso Filho. During his career as an athlete, he served as vice president of several departments for 12 years and served as president of the Deliberative Council for five years.
Gilberto Cardoso Filho was a Grand Benefactor of Mais Querido and the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation, and holder of the Tiradentes Medal from the Rio de Janeiro State Assembly.
