President Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, has officially signed Flamengo's newest signing. Zico, the greatest idol in Flamengo's history, has taken on the role of club ambassador. From now on, he will represent Flamengo in Brazil and abroad—including participation in the Club World Cup in the United States.
Having Zico as an ambassador means more than just having the greatest idol in the club's history; it means keeping the red-and-black spirit alive. Zico represents the essence of Flamengo: grit, talent, passion, and the ability to inspire generations. He is the link between the glorious past, the vibrant present, and the promising future. The Flamengo ambassador is the symbol of a journey marked by credibility, love for the Manto, and loyalty to the nation.
"I joined Flamengo when I was 15 and I remember every minute of my first visit to Gavea. Being back is incredibly exciting, and representing Flamengo is a source of pride," said Zico.

Zico will be even closer to the nation. Soon, he will have his own show on Flamengo TV, will be present at events with fan members across the country, will watch Mengão games at Maracanã, and will be present at Flamengo reviews and institutional events. Flamengo and Zico will partner on the development of licensed products and projects that unite the two brands.
"Making Zico Flamengo's Ambassador is an honor for the club, especially because it allows us to pay tribute to the greatest player in its history," said president Luiz Eduardo Baptista.
