The Rio de Janeiro State Judo Federation has announced some changes to the Rio de Janeiro Trophy, which will be held at the Rio de Janeiro Judo Center (CRFlamengo) on the 26th and 27th. Previously, the competition would feature the children's class on the mats, but this will no longer be the case. This change has resulted in some changes to the schedule, including the start of the matches. The Rio de Janeiro Trophy will feature the participation of the state's top judo clubs. Competitions will begin on the 26th at 8:30 a.m. with the Junior (male and female) class matches. The Senior (purple to black belt - male) will follow at 12 p.m.
The senior women's division (white to black belt) will begin at 15 p.m. The competition will also feature judokas from the Pre-Master, Master, and Super Master classes. The junior and pre-junior matches will be held on Sunday, the 27th, starting at 8:30 a.m.
