The city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, will host the Brazilian leg of the Judo World Cup. Competitions will take place from May 3rd to 5th, broadcast on Sportv. Around 21 countries have already confirmed their presence at the competition, which will feature the tenacity of the red-and-black Leonardo Leite.

The judoka, who leaves for the Minas Gerais city this Thursday (1/5), is in great physical shape and guarantees that he is 100% ready to face all the opponents he faces: - “I am very well prepared. I have been training well for this competition and without a single injury to hinder my performance”.

Leonardo, who is the reserve in the light heavyweight category (-100kg) of the Brazilian team that will be competing in the Beijing Olympic Games in August, will enter action on Monday (5/5).

In addition to Brazil, the teams from Cuba, France, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Portugal, Germany, Chile, Bahamas, Netherlands Antilles, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Germany, Peru, Argentina, Guatemala, Uruguay, Spain and Austria have already confirmed their presence.

After the World Cup competitions, the red-black team will travel to Miami, in the United States, where they will participate in the Senior Pan-American Judo Championships, between May 8th and 12th.
